Banet was born Herbert Charles Banet on October 17, 1913 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.[1]
Banet played with the Green Bay Packers during the 1937 NFL season. He played at the collegiate level at Manchester College.
Banet was a head high school basketball coach in Fort Wayne. He is an inductee in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.[2]
